Your Week in Naples: Golf, Comedy, Holiday Theatre and a Pre-Turkey Run (Nov. 20–26)

Naples is loaded with big-ticket sports, holiday shows and pre-Thanksgiving happenings the week of Nov. 19–26. Here’s a curated mix of what’s worth getting out for — from Tiburón fairways to Marco Island’s student stage.

Championship Golf on Tiburón’s Fairways

The CME Group Tour Championship returns to Tiburón Golf Club Nov. 20–23, bringing the top 60 LPGA players to Naples to battle for an $11 million purse. It’s the season-ending event on tour, so you’re seeing the best of the best — with plenty of hospitality tents and people-watching alongside world-class golf.

Holiday Theatre Sneak Peek on Marco Island

CHRISTMAS IS COMING TO MARCO A LITTLE EARLY THIS YEAR.

Marco Island Academy’s theatre program is premiering a brand-new one-act play, “O Christmas Trees,” on Friday, Nov. 21. It’s a one-night-only preview on The Rhine Stage at Marco Island Academy, 2255 San Marco Road. Tickets are $5 and available at MIATheatre.com. It’s an easy holiday warm-up and a chance to support local students before the season really kicks in.

Jazz in the Evening, Laughter After

If you want a night out closer to downtown, Opera Naples is hosting Jazz Night en Opera Naples on Friday, Nov. 21, with doors at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m. at 2408 Linwood Avenue. Tickets start around $30 and bring a club-style jazz vibe to a classical venue.

For something louder (and less polished on purpose), The American Misfits Tour with comedians Michael Loftus and Dave Landau hits Off The Hook Comedy Club in North Naples Nov. 21–23, with multiple evening showtimes across the weekend. Expect hard-hitting stand-up and a crowd that’s ready to lean all the way in.

A Big Race Before the Big Meal

If you’d rather earn your holiday carbs, the Gobbler 5K, 10K and Half Marathon takes over North Collier Regional Park on Saturday, Nov. 22, starting at 8 a.m. Runners can choose from a 5K, 10K or four-lap half-marathon on a scenic out-and-back route. It’s equal parts community fun run and serious training day, with registration options across all distances.

Art, Open Studios and a Classic Story on Stage

Also on Nov. 22, the Naples Art District Open Studios event runs from 1–5 p.m. on Shirley Street. You can wander working studios, meet local artists, and pick up one-of-a-kind pieces before season crowds peak.

That evening, swing over to Fifth Avenue South for “Little Women: The Musical” by The Naples Players, with a performance at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 22. It’s a full musical take on the Louisa May Alcott classic and an easy date-night or family outing.

At the same time, The Naples Players’ Festival of Trees will be in full swing, transforming the theatre into a holiday wonderland of artist-designed trees and themed décor from Nov. 18 through Dec. 21. It’s an anytime walk-through option if you’re already downtown.

Markets, Music and a Low-Key Night Out

If you’re a regular at Seed to Table, you’ll have built-in options that weekend: live music at the Beer Bar on Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22, generally running from late afternoon into early evening — a laid-back way to kick off the night with a drink and a band.

On the more traditional side of things, Third Street South Farmers Market keeps its Saturday slot on Nov. 22, with fresh produce, pastries, flowers and the kind of people-watching that screams “season is here.”

Mid-Week: A Waterfront Night on Marco

To cap the week, Marco Island leans into live music with Phenomenal Animal at Snook Inn on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The band plays bayside at the iconic waterfront restaurant and chickee bar — a sunset-plus-music combo that’s very hard to argue with
