What’s Opening, Closing, and Brewing in Naples: June 2025 Business Buzz

☀️ Naples in Motion: Closures, Comebacks, and Triple-Lane Coffee Runs

Naples is doing what Naples does best — transforming. June 2025 is turning out to be a big month for local businesses, with longtime restaurants closing their doors, ambitious new spots popping up, and an entire shopping center getting a glow-up.

Here's what’s opening, closing, and brewing across town right now.

👋 Farewell to Familiar Favorites

Let’s rip off the Band-Aid: Bahama Breeze has served its last mojito. The U.S. 41 location was one of 15 shuttered nationwide by Darden Restaurants. So if you were hoping for one last island-style escape, you’re out of luck — but Naples never leaves a space empty for long.

Also gone: Dorona Steakhouse, a longtime staple for upscale carnivores. Its final service was May 16, and while locals will miss the juicy cuts and modern décor, the space is already being eyed for a fresh new dining concept. So, no long mourning period here.

And then there’s HobNob Kitchen & Bar, which quietly wrapped up a 12-year run at 720 Fifth Avenue South. Known for its stylish atmosphere and creative twists on American classics, HobNob was more than just a dinner spot — it was a go-to for date nights, celebrations, and countless brunches that ran a little too long. May 31 marked its final service, and the closing leaves a noticeable gap in the heart of downtown Naples dining.

🛠️ Building Buzz: Home Depot Breaks Ground in North Naples

For the DIY crowd, big news: a new Home Depot is officially underway at the northwest corner of Immokalee Road and Collier Boulevard. The land has been cleared, and construction is moving ahead — a welcomed addition for weekend warriors who’ve been battling crowded aisles elsewhere in town.

🍽️ Shoppes at Vanderbilt Getting a Restaurant Refresh

If you haven’t been to the Shoppes at Vanderbilt lately, get ready for a whole new vibe. Two new buildings are under construction near the CVS, bringing more than 20,000 square feet of space for local businesses — including restaurants you’ll actually want to hang out at.

Among the newcomers:

  • Belly Bliss Natural Café – Already open and dishing out American-Mediterranean plates with a focus on natural, seasonal ingredients. Think brisket hash, sustainable sourcing, and an alkaline water system that would make your Peloton instructor proud.

  • Aufieri & Martinez – Coming soon to Suite 200, this Argentinian steakhouse will offer high-quality grilled meats with serious South American flair. Fire and flavor? Yes, please.

  • Crazy King Burrito – Also landing soon, this fast-casual Mexican chain brings bold flavors to Suite 100. Expect classic burritos with a kick — and probably a cult following by mid-season.

  • Angelic Desserts – The beloved bakery is booming. After relocating to a bigger unit, they’re now considering expanding back into their former space just to keep up with demand. Naples clearly has a sweet tooth.

And while we’re saying goodbye to Dorona, The Cave Bistro & Wine Bar has also closed up shop after nearly eight years. But don’t worry — the Naples Wine Collection, managed by the owners’ daughter, is still operating for now and exploring a new location within the plaza.

☕ Roadies Pit Stop: Coffee, Energy, and Speed

For the coffee crowd (a.k.a. all of us), a new contender has entered the ring. Roadies Pit Stop just opened a triple-lane drive-thru at 8927 Founders Square Dr., serving traditional coffee alongside high-energy performance drinks. Hours are currently 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but extended hours are already in the works. Whether you’re on your morning commute or mid-afternoon slump, Roadies wants to be your pit stop — literally.

✅ Bice is Still Open — In Case You Were Wondering

And just to clear up the rumors: Bice Naples is open, thriving, and still serving its classic Italian fare to packed tables. Not every story this month ends in a farewell.

🎯 Final Sip

Naples is shifting fast — with legacy closures, exciting restaurant arrivals, and caffeine-fueled startups redefining the local landscape. If you’re feeling like the business scene is more alive than ever, you’re right. And if you're not sure where to go next, just follow the scent of espresso or the sound of jackhammers.

Stay tuned — this city doesn’t sit still for long.
