Wayfair plans to open its fourth Birch Lane location in Florida

Wayfair, the online furniture and home decor retailer, is building its fourth brick-and-mortar store in Florida under the Birch Lane name, and the third in the region.
According to a statement, the new Birch Lane will debut this summer in Mercato, Naples. The new location will be in the former Z Gallerie space, which is 9,994 square feet. Birch Lane also has locations in International Plaza in Tampa, University Town Center in Sarasota, and Boca Raton. The three locations debuted in March, according to a recent article by Mark Gordon of Business Observer.
“We launched a Birch Lane refresh early last year, and part of that plan included having physical retail locations that could bring the brand to life for our customers, allowing them to experience it in a way they haven’t been able to before,” Birch Lane General Manager Taylor Fitzpatrick says in the release. “While online shopping is convenient, having physical stores allows our customers to gather, develop connections, and receive direction from our skilled onsite team, who assist our consumers in creating a home where life’s many moments can unfold. Mercato is such a bright, bustling destination that expanding here seemed like a natural match.”
Wayfair Inc. is one of the world’s top home retailers, with 22.3 million active consumers. Mercato is a mixed-use lifestyle shopping mall with 315,000 square feet of Main Street-style retail, restaurants, and entertainment. Anchors include Whole Foods Market, Nordstrom Rack, and Ulta.
