Beginning Friday night, Oct. 27, Caloosa Trains and Hobbies Indoor R/C Park (Future Hobbies, Inc.) will provide indoor drone racing in its 8,000-square-foot facility.

“While there are thousands of drone racing competitions around the country each year, less than 5% are indoors,” stated Future Hobbies, Inc. founder Vincent Stephen. “Our drone races at Caloosa Trains and Hobbies Indoor R/C Park are thrilling as the drones navigate elevated obstacles, challenge rooms, and straightaway speeds of 90 to 120 mph. The sport brings new racing excitement to our indoor R/C Racing Center and is popular with all ages. High-speed flying, heart-pounding eye-hand synchronization, nerve-shattering quick thinking, and the advanced ability to navigate tight hairpin curves are all part of drone racing. We have Southwest Florida’s only indoor drone racing facility and mile-per-second entertainment.”

Drone pilots use FPV goggles to observe the drone’s camera view. Many FPV goggles let pilots show spectators and racing judges their real-time perspective.

This Friday, Oct. 27, Caloosa Trains and Hobbies’ Indoor R/C Park Drone Racing season begins at 8 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. Indoor R/C racing continues during the day.
