Old Naples’ The Bevy Closes—Fall Brings "La Salière Naples" from Same Owner

The beloved Old Naples spot The Bevy—open since 2017—permanently closed this summer. But fear not, local food lovers: the same restaurateur is launching a brand-new dining experience in its place by fall.
Behind the change:
Owner Stefano Frittella, who also runs iconic local spots like Bice, Caffe Milano, La Trattoria, and Vergina on Fifth Avenue South, explained that The Bevy wasn’t fully aligned with his style since he took over from the Hoffmann family in 2020. A long-delayed concept change, derailed by pandemic-era visa issues, is now finally coming to fruition.
Meet La Salière Naples:
Modeled after Frittella’s first restaurant—La Salière in Monaco (opened in 1982)—the Naples concept promises an Italian family-style vibe featuring Neapolitan pizzas, pasta, shared antipasti, plus meat and fish dishes. The physical layout of The Bevy—its open indoor-outdoor design—will remain intact, but expect fresh aesthetics: new décor, furnishings, plants, awnings, and updated signage.
Target opening: late October to early November.
Naples’ restaurant scene is getting a stylish reboot. The Bevy may be gone, but La Salière—rooted in Frittella’s culinary legacy—promises new Italian comfort and family dining with Mediterranean flair.
