New Flavors, Closures, and Big Transformations in Naples Dining Scene

Naples’ restaurant scene is buzzing this September with fresh arrivals, temporary pauses, and bold rebrands. From Miami imports to homegrown concepts reinventing themselves, here’s the latest on what’s cooking around town.
Fresh Arrivals
Sushi Sake officially opened its first Naples location on August 25. Originating in Miami, the restaurant brings a polished menu of sushi rolls and Japanese favorites to the 239, adding to the city’s growing roster of Asian dining options.
Meanwhile, Two Meatballs in the Kitchen made its Naples debut on August 14 with a North Naples spot drenched in bright yellow and blue coastal décor. Known for crowd-pleasers like “Mama’s Meatballs” ($11.99) and entrées under $30, the restaurant offers a lively, casual take on Italian dining.
Adding to the buzz, Blackbird Modern Asian has plenty to celebrate. Executive pastry chef Denise Elrod snagged her second national win on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games in August, pocketing $20,000 and showing off the creativity Naples chefs are bringing to the national stage.
Elevated Experiences
For those looking for a splash of luxury, The Continental is now offering a Champagne & Caviar Experience every Friday night through October 24. At $60 per person, it’s a seasonal indulgence designed to bring some sparkle to downtown Naples evenings.
Closures & Big Flips
The shifting restaurant landscape also comes with closures and transitions. Two Fillets has temporarily closed, with a planned reopening on October 1. Its location will soon be home to a fresh concept from Phelan Family Brands, who announced the launch of Caimàn Cantina, a modern Mexican restaurant slated to debut this fall.
Downtown, The French on 5th is serving its last meals on September 7. But fans of chef Vincenzo Betulia won’t be left hungry for long: the brasserie will reopen next month with a new identity as Tulia Italian Steak, combining Betulia’s culinary flair with a steakhouse focus.
The Takeaway
From sushi rolls and meatballs to Champagne nights and steakhouse flips, Naples’ dining scene is in full motion this fall. Whether you’re chasing something new or savoring a reimagined classic, there’s no shortage of reasons to book a table.
