Naples Zoo's Safari Canyon Theater Gets a $500K Upgrade—New Stage Debuts Early 2026

The Safari Canyon Theater at our beloved Naples Zoo is getting a glow-up.
Thanks to a $500,000 gift from the Wilson & Johnson Private Foundation, the theater is getting a major overhaul—renamed as the Pacter Family Theater with the Wilson Family Stage—and is slated to open early in 2026.
What’s New
The revamped venue is being designed as an immersive education and entertainment space, complete with:
Enhanced animal habitats integrated into the stage setup
Accessible seating for all visitors
Upgraded technology to elevate conservation programming
Once complete, it’ll showcase up to three daily animal shows, blending education with a touch of spectacle.
Why It Matters
Education Meets Entertainment – With more interactive, tech-enhanced presentations, the new theater promises to deepen awareness around wildlife and conservation.
Welcoming All Audiences – Upgraded accessibility ensures families, school groups, and guests with diverse needs can all enjoy the experience.
A Community Milestone – This enhancement reinforces the Naples Zoo’s commitment to innovation, conservation leadership, and unforgettable visitor experiences.
