Naples Woman with 39 Prior Arrests Jailed on Fentanyl Trafficking Charges

A 47-year-old convicted felon with an extensive criminal history is back behind bars after a Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) investigation linked her to fentanyl sales in the community.

Faith Ann Martin, of Naples, was arrested Thursday on two counts of fentanyl trafficking following a probe by CCSO’s Vice and Narcotics Bureau. Detectives say Martin is a known drug dealer with 39 prior arrests in Collier County, the majority involving narcotics-related offenses.

According to CCSO, the arrest was part of the agency’s ongoing Laced & Lethal initiative — a targeted effort to remove fentanyl from the streets of Collier County.

Fentanyl facts:

  • A synthetic opioid up to 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine.

  • Often mixed into other drugs in the illicit market, making overdoses more likely.

  • Just a tiny amount can be deadly.

CCSO says the investigation began after detectives received information about an individual possibly selling narcotics in the area. Surveillance and evidence gathering led to Martin’s arrest, securing a significant quantity of fentanyl before it could be distributed.

Authorities say Martin’s arrest removes a high-risk dealer from Naples streets and underscores CCSO’s commitment to tackling fentanyl-related crime.
