With its September Florida premiere, the $250 million Great Wolf Lodge will prove to be more than just a 500-room resort and 92,000-square-foot water park.

In its impending next-generation Florida facility, Great Wolf Lodge will be introducing a number of brand-new, cutting-edge attractions that aren’t available at any of its other 20 properties–attractions that will take guests on thrilling, aerial adventures like never before, according to a recent article by Phil Fernandez of Naples Daily News.

Local general manager Jason Bays stated, “We’re really excited to be able to debut some of these new attractions, only here in South Florida.” It truly builds upon our 27 years of experience operating an indoor water park. Every time we construct a new lodge, we make updates. We adjust a few things. We simply add new features and attractions to give families a little extra happiness.”

Here are some things to be aware of:

What new attractions will there be?

The first indoor zipline element of the Howlers Peak Ropes Course will be 150 feet long and offer a 180-degree panoramic view of the 60,000-square-foot newly imagined Adventure Park. The Adventure Park is accessed from the resort’s Grand Lobby and is covered by a canopy of mossy branches and twinkling lights.

Families can experience the course itself by balancing on ropes, crossing bridges, and climbing over obstacles while wearing safety harnesses.

Where will your ‘harness-free climbing trip’ lead you on the new Great Wolf?

A new feature in Collier will be an Adventure Trail next to the course that doesn’t require a harness and offers a climbing trip via what Great Wolf Vice-President Jason Lasecki refers to as “a whimsical tree-fort.”

By revamping its Howl in One Miniature Golf Course and MagiQuest interactive adventure game, the company will be providing new experiences, building on its animated cast of Great Wolf Pack character assets that it’s aiming to promote further and broaden their reach.

In what ways is Great Wolf leveraging the rapidly growing virtual reality industry?

Additionally, it is launching a product called The Virtual Frontier to take advantage of the growing virtual reality (VR) industry, which is predicted to reach $678 billion globally by 2031, up from $37 billion in 2018 according to research from InsightAce Analytic.

The Chicago-based company intends to set it up as a portal tucked away in the Great Wolf Lodge Adventure Park woods. It will serve as a doorway to a virtual world where visitors can, if they’d like, travel underwater, stroll among dinosaurs, or even solve easy puzzles.

Which Great Wolf Lodge attraction is the second most popular and is currently growing?

Along with visiting the mysterious land of Vellara, which has been the focus of the park’s current MagiQuest attraction for roughly 15 years, participants will also be able to partake in unique immersive experiences.

“People will visit our resort specifically to play MagiQuest,” Lasecki added, referring to the game’s unique “propriety experience and technology.” “Aside from the water park, it is the second most visited attraction at Great Wolf Lodge. People come here because they are engaged with the mythology and legend surrounding MagiQuest. You’ll see young adults and older teens visiting our resort specifically to play MagiQuest.”

Which brand-new Great Wolf Lodge promotion made its premiere for SWFL on Thursday?

The resort in Southwest Florida is scheduled to open on September 25. Until then, the chain has been making offers. This week, In the Know discovered that, absent a promotion, the most affordable lodging option listed on the Great Wolf website was going for as little as $199 per night during the week and $299 per night on the weekend. On a weeknight, a themed suite was available for $239, and on a weekend, it cost $399.
