Golden Gate Man Fatally Shot Outside Home — No Suspects Yet in Custody

Tragedy struck early Sunday in Golden Gate. A man lost his life in a shooting outside his home — and as of now, no arrests have been made.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 1700 block of 41st Terrace SW at approximately 3:13 a.m. where they discovered a 54-year-old man, later identified as Juan Cocxo, unresponsive next to a white SUV in the driveway. Deputies initiated CPR, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

When & Where: Around 3:13 a.m. Sunday, deputies arrived at the 1700 block of 41st Terrace SW.
Victim: Juan Cocxo, age 54, found lying beside a white SUV in the front yard.
Response: First responders administered CPR immediately, but he did not survive.
Suspects: At least five people were present and speaking with deputies on the street, but no suspects have been identified or detained.
