Naples just wrapped up one of its busiest months for restaurant openings in years. From tapas and tandoori to tacos and tropical smoothies, July 2025 brought big flavor and bold new concepts to almost every corner of the city.
Here’s your full breakdown of what’s now open, what’s coming soon, and who closed shop.

🌮 1942 Mexican Grill

Located in Wiggins Pass Crossing, this vibrant modern Mexican spot opened July 4 after years in the making. Standouts include birria tacos, carne asada fries, and frozen margarita flights in a sleek, indoor-outdoor setting.
🥘 Paella’s Mediterranean Fusion
📍 3861 Tamiami Trail E., Naples, FL 34112
Located next to the old movie theater in Naples Towne Centre South, this new concept brings Spanish cuisine to East Naples. Chef Juan Perez — formerly of Lamoraga — serves a refined menu that includes four types of paella (house mix, squid ink, meat lover’s, and vegetarian), Catalan seafood stew, dry-aged pork chops, foie gras, shrimp truffle fettuccine, and pintxos (Basque-style small bites). The restaurant also offers an impressive tapas selection, beer, and wine.

🍛 Magic Masala Indian Cuisine

This East Naples spot offers over 200 Indian dishes, with breakfast dosa and chutneys on weekends. Located near Collier and Davis, it’s one of the area’s most extensive Indian menus—spanning biryanis, tandoori, vegan/vegetarian specialties, and over a dozen house-made breads.

Just north of Naples, this Connecticut-style pizzeria is already making noise for its thin, crispy pies and friendly sports-bar energy.

Tropical vibes meet cozy coffee in this new Bayshore café. Smoothies, light brunch, and espresso drinks are served in a laid-back, sunlit space perfect for pre-Celebration Park mornings.

Located in North Naples, this minimalist café caters to laptop warriors and pastry lovers with locally baked goods and specialty coffee.

🇬🇷 Violí Greek Taverna (Fall 2025)

Coming this fall to the former Bravo space at Mercato, Violí will offer a Mykonos-style dining experience with grilled lamb chops, branzino, craft cocktails, and boho-Mediterranean décor. From the Chicago-based DineAmic Hospitality group, it’ll seat 350 across indoor and patio space, steps from the soon-to-be-expanded Mercato Piazza.

This Miami-born concept will bring smoothies, wraps, protein bowls, and healthy eats to Mercato later this fall.

Expected soon in the former Le Macaron space, this wellness-focused juice bar will offer cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and acai bowls.

Opening late 2025, the burger chain is taking over the old Charming Charlie retail space. Expect the full menu: ShackBurgers, crinkle fries, and frozen custard.

👋 Bravo Italian Kitchen – Mercato
📍 Closed July 2025 after 15+ years
Bravo closed after the July 4 weekend, marking the end of its 15+ year run at Mercato. The space will become Violí Greek Taverna. Remaining gift cards can be redeemed at Brio in Waterside Shops.
