Authorities received reports just after 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025, of an elderly man who had gone missing while swimming near Lowdermilk Park, located at 1301 Gulf Shore Boulevard North in Naples.
Body Found Floating in Water
About ten minutes after the initial alert, rescuers were informed of an unresponsive man floating in the water at the 1600 block of Gulf Shore Boulevard North. First responders arrived quickly and began CPR, but life-saving attempts were unsuccessful, and the swimmer was confirmed deceased.
Who the Victim Was
The victim was identified as an 85-year-old man, reportedly swimming off the beach when he disappeared. At this time, police have not released any other personal details as the case remains under investigation.
